Palstone

A natural hideaway

We provide an environment and holiday home that is unique and unlike anywhere else.

The apportioning of the land and the exact positioning of each lodge has been  sensitively planned to sculpt a series of individual havens to catch the morning and evening sun, to offer privacy and seclusion and real sense of individuality. The planting, which is used exclusively to screen each area, has been undertaken with much passion aided by a gigantic helping of knowledge.  The overall theme is informal-exotic, with elegant grasses, unusual shrubs and trees.  Many of the existing trees were planted around thirty years ago by Matt and his family and have been incorporated into the design to provide overall structure and height.

Why Palstone…

Your lodge is “truly” yours, unlike most lodge developments we appreciate there are many people who would prefer to have a managed holiday home environment where you can “turn key come and go”.  Without the stress and upkeep of a traditional holiday home or the hustle and bustle of most lodge developments that allow commercial lettings – we don’t offer a clubhouse or entertainment but our village pub is close by.

TESTIMONIALS

Peter Cheeseman

The lodge gives our four children and their families the ability to come down and spend time in in a safe and secluded location. Often, they’ll visit on their own. Sometimes they’ll join us. For them it’s a free holiday and we take pleasure in the fact that we’re giving them something special as part of our family unit. If they visit three times a year, which they all do, that saves them around £10,000 in total, so the figures soon add up.

For me, working in horticulture, the attraction definitely came from the setting, with established planting and carefully curated landscaping. It seemed to suit us perfectly. We wanted a gentle, soft green space that didn’t feel like a ‘holiday park’.

It’s so easy to sit on the decking and just while away the hours.  That’s the nice thing about Palstone Lodges; you don’t have to worry about the maintenance of either the gardens or the exterior of the lodge; you can just arrive and enjoy.  Every time we go we love it better than the last time.

The lodge has been perfect for us in so many ways – it was the best place to come to when we were a couple escaping the busy life we have in London, but now suits our family perfectly enabling us to spend quality time with our children. We have everything we need nearby and the lodge is a solid, quality build that will last us through the next 10 years and beyond!
